B78 August Report

August was in incredible month for B78 athletes. Here are some of the highlights:

B78 Pro athlete and coach Christine Fletcher continued her comeback to racing with a strong 5th place finish overall at the Timberman 70.3 in New Hampshire. After a stress fracture in her pelvis ended her season last year Christine has worked incredibly hard to get herself back in the game. It has been an emotional road and you can read more about it on her blog.

Sean Killen is a relative newcomer to the B78 team. Sean reached out to us about 10 weeks ago in search of some guidance for Ironman Louisville in Kentucky. We helped Sean develop a sound strategy for his pacing and nutrition and he got the work done! Sean finished in a time of 11 hours and 32 minutes eclipsing his previous best time of 12 hours and 27 minutes. “My first mile last year at Ironman Texas was a nightmare. I remember it being the worst feeling ever. This year, felt good. Ran comfortable for first 6 miles. I felt light and springy and was on 9 minute pace overall. After the race I felt fine..100% fine. Legs hurt like hell but I had tons more energy just not in the legs”

Lora Sidorovich is a new member of the B78 team living in Miami, Florida. Lora is relatively new to the sport of triathlon but a natural! She recently competed in the Triathlon Trilogy Duathlon in Key Biscane, Florida. Not only was she the first woman across the line but she finished 3rd overall! She average 21mph on the bike and ran the last 5km in under 20 minutes. Very impressive for a newbie!

Sandra Foweraker has been working with B78 for over a year now and continues to dial in impressive results. After nearly having to pull the plug on her season 10 weeks out of Ironman Canada due to injury Sandra percervered and finished with a ten minute personal best time. Last year in her very first Ironman appearance Sandra shocked the 45-49 age group and won.  This year she finished an impressive third! Two Ironman finishes, twice on the podium! Nice job!
