To feel alive is to feel fully present and absorbed in whatever you’re doing or whatever is happening around you at any given moment. To feel alive is to feel passionate, euphoric and exhilarated. It means awakening your inner spark and experiencing the fullness of being.


What is your be word and why did you choose it?

Be alive. I chose it because it’s how I live my life. I want to enjoy everything I do, and to take chances on things I’m not sure of. I want to be present in every moment and to really feel alive.

What is your major goal for the upcoming season?

I want to take every moment and experience, and to keep learning from them. I want to be a better and smarter athlete, and this can only happen with learning.

What goal did you crush last season?

I PB’ed both a full IM and 70.3 I was pretty excited about this.

What is your favourite post race craving?

A really cold beer with pizza

What is the most ambitious thing on your life bucket list?

Climb Mount Everest
