Everything that happens on race day is a product of the months of consistent preparation that you put in prior to toeing the line. Being ready is more than just going out and putting in hours and hours of training; it’s about respecting your body – knowing when to back off and when to push harder, making sure you are getting enough sleep, eating right, balancing your life and training so that you are ready for the next workout, and being ready to learn; to open your mind to new ideas and challenges. An Ironman requires a lot of preparation, but I am ready and up for the challenge, ready to put in a lot of hard work! Today’s preparation determines tomorrow’s achievements and when race day comes I am going to be ready!
