Sandra Foweraker Conquers 6x Grouse Grind in One Day!

On Friday, September 5th, B78 athlete Sandra Foweraker took on an extraordinary challenge on Vancouver’s iconic Grouse Grind. Known as “Nature’s Stairmaster,” the Grind is a grueling 2.9 km trail that climbs 2,800 feet straight up Grouse Mountain. Completing it once is an achievement. Completing it six times in a single day, each in under an hour, is nothing short of incredible.

Sandra’s day-long adventure combined the ascents and gondola rides down, stretching to nearly nine hours in total. By the end, she had climbed roughly half the vertical gain of Mount Everest in a single day.

This feat is just the latest in Sandra’s tradition of tackling a bold challenge every year. Her resume of endurance adventures is impressive: she’s completed an Everesting on her bike (riding the elevation of Mount Everest in one day), run the Zermatt Half Marathon in Switzerland, and finished the legendary Swissman Xtreme Triathlon.

We’re inspired by athletes like Sandra who continually seek out new ways to test their limits, embrace the unknown, and celebrate the process of doing hard things.

Congratulations, Sandra, on an incredible accomplishment!
