Rain, Grit, and Great Results at the Victoria Marathon!
It was a very wet day at this year’s Victoria Marathon, but that didn’t stop our B78 athletes from showing up strong and crossing the finish line with smiles (and soaked shoes).
Britton Emerson battled the rain and cruised through the half marathon in under two hours, a great result on a tough, soggy course.
Rina Toteda had a day to remember, she crushed her previous best marathon time by 15 minutes and broke the 4-hour barrier, finishing in an incredible 3:55. Way to go Rina!
And of course, the legend Bill Fry proved that determination trumps perfect preparation. Despite limited training due to injury, Bill powered through and made it to the finish line in just under 5 hours. An awesome display of grit and heart!
Huge congrats to all our B78 athletes who took on the challenge. Rain or shine, it’s always inspiring to see the effort, community, and joy that come with race day.
