πββοΈπ΄ββοΈπββοΈSheena Harris Breaks 11 Hours and Cracks the Top 5 in her AG at Ironman California
What an incredible performance from Sheena Harris at Ironman California this past weekend! Sheena delivered her best-ever Ironman race finishing 5th in the 45-49 age group and breaking the 11-hour barrier for the first time with a total time of 10:50:23.
The day started strong with a 59:19 swim, where she found her rhythm early and stayed composed in the Sacramento River. Out on the bike, she kept things smooth and steady, riding a 5:47:42 split that showed her consistency, control and maturity and respect for the Ironman distance.
Sheena had an awesome run! From the moment she hit the pavement, she looked focused and free-flowing. Over the marathon distance, she moved up steadily from around 12th place off the bike to 5th, running an impressive 3:51:13 to close the day.
It was a tight battle for 4th and 5th with just under a minute separating them at the finish line but Sheena crossed with a huge smile, knowing she had given absolutely everything.
This result was the culmination of dedication, discipline, and the ability to blend data-driven training with race-day instinct. Sheena is an athlete who loves to work with the numbers, but when itβs time to race, she knows how to let go and find her flow especially on the run, where that mindset truly shines.
Way to go Sheena! You raced with courage, joy and a whole lot of heart!
